Travel to Chesham
Chesham in Buckinghamshire is approximately 25 miles to the north-west of London. Just a tube ride away from London on the Metropolitan Line, and equally easy to reach by road, Chesham is a perfectly placed destination for a day trip or a longer stay.
Jusrtaround an hour away from St Pancras International for rail travel from Europe; and around an hour by car/taxi from London and Luton airports.
By rail from London
The portion of the Metropolitan line from Chalfont and Latimer to Chesham is the longest stretch between two stations on the London Underground network, and probably the most picturesque! Chesham station itself is one of the most attractive on the London Underground. It retains its original signal box, and the gardens are tended by the local Chesham in Bloom volunteers.

- From Kings Cross, St Pancras or Euston in just over an hour.
- From Baker Street in under an hour.
From Marylebone via Chiltern Railways, change at Chalfont and Latimer onto the Metropolitan Line for Chesham.
By road
Less than 40 minutes from Central London and easily accessible from the M1, M25 and M40 motorway.
Getting to the villages
Chenies and Latimer, Buckinghamshire villages
Alight at Chalfont and Latimer station and you can walk to the villages of Chenies and Latimer in approximately 35 minutes. Head for the pubs at Chenies, or to Latimer and take in the most spectacular part of the Chess Valley Walk. Alternatively the journey is approximately five minutes by taxi.

There are numerous bus routes within Chesham by day. To venture into the villages it’s more likely you can travel by bus earlier in the day, and walk or get a taxi to another village or back to Chesham.
