Chesham benefits from a large number of play areas and green spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy. Chesham Town Council owns and manages a large number of these.
Lowndes Park is the town’s large central park with a large pond, and a new playground opening in March 2025.
Walk up to the top for fabulous views of the town. Walk further on and descend through the woods into the Pednor Valley.
The Moor is a vast flat open space, used for football matches at weekends. It is around 15 minutes walk from town and is alongside the River Chess, with a small waterfall, stepping stones and more to explore in this wet woodland area. Continue on to follow the Chess Valley walk.
