Chesham Moor

Chesham Moor (formerly Chesham Moor Gym and Swim) is home of Chesham’s historic lido, and a recently refurbised facility with brand new gym and cafe.

In a country setting, 10-15 minutes’ level walk from Chesham station, Chesham Moor provides friendly, well-run facilities with a gym, lido, cafe, tennis and classes.

The centre is open from 6am weekdays and 8am on weekends and Bank Holidays.

Bookings can be made online, and as an occasional visitor you can join up as a pay as you go member and buy credits just for what you need. You can book up to a week in advance. Please note that the outdoor pool/lido can get very busy in the summer. It is also possible to turn up but there are no guarantees of a place. There are also direct debit monthly and annual membership options.

Healthy outdoor pool

Take an early morning swim in the historic 25-metre outdoor pool, or book for general/family swim sessions. Inflatable sessions run on Saturdays in the summer months. The water is from a nearby artesian well and a NASA ionisation process is used to keep the water clean and near chemical free, so it’s healthy and kind to skin. The pool is heated at an average 27ºC/82ºF all year round.

Gym

Everyone is welcome at this bright, safe gym. The main gym has an excellent range of equipment and the welcome bonus of natural light.

Amenities

New cafe onsite, serving hot and cold drink and pastries. Free parking is available near the building as you approach from the Chesham direction, with disabled parking in front of the building.

The vast open space of the Moor recreation area is just over the road, and the Chess Valley Walk runs alongside. for exploring the river. It’s an easy place to wile a away a few hours on a sunny day.
