Chenies Manor and Gardens

A Grade 1 listed building, and one of the finest manor houses in the UK.

Chenies Manor House and its award-winning gardens are open to the public on set days. The gardens include a Physic Garden and Maze and Queen Elizabeth’s Oak – thought to be over 1000 years old. Elizabeth I is believed to have lost some gold jewellery whilst sitting beneath its shade.

The gardens are particularly noted for stunning displays of tulips in April and May. Events include the Tulip Festival, and Annual Plant Fair in July, as well as family fun at Easter. Advance booking strongly recommended.

It is generally open April – September inclusive*, Mondays and Tuesdays 2pm – 5pm.

*Please check with the venue before setting out.
