Opened in 2005 to serve the long-established Muslim community in Chesham, the mosque cost £1.6 million to build – all of which was raised from donations and collections.
The building has an impressive interior and the upper chamber has a spectacular dome with inscriptions round its perimeter.
Visitors are requested to remove their shoes in specific areas and respectfully requested to observe modest dress. Some visitors choose to cover their heads, this is entirely optional.
Wheelchair access to ground floor only.
£7.50 per person (includes a donation to the Mosque’s charity of choice and refreshments).
