Time for bluebells

Head out into the woods

All around Chesham in the hilltop villages and woods you can find displays of bluebells usually from around mid-April.

Among the most accessible for a short walk are Cowcroft Woods at Ley Hill (near The Crown pub); Hawridge and Cholesbury Commons (near eg Full Moon pub). All lovely spots to enjoy a pub lunch or coffee.

Between Chartridge, Lee Common and Ballinger are displays overlooking Pednor valley – for example at Bottom Wood and Ayres Wood. These would need to be part of a long walk (see suggestions below).
